AlansArchery -    Alan's Archery Pages
Technical and coaching information concentrating on shooting a compound bow with a release aid with a special section on controlling target panic.
This site is not a comprehensive guide to anything.  It is devoted to all the bits and pieces of archery that interest me most and on which I think I have something to say.  That means that - for the time being - it concentrates on Field Archery and shooting compound bows with a release aid.

The site will grow in size and sophistication as I get round to converting more stuff and learn more about building web pages.  I hope you find it interesting.  As for the advice, you must make your own mind up - all I will guarantee is that it will do no harm...

A word about sponsorship and commercialism...

"do your research, show your evidence, and quote your authorities… that is the nearest to the truth we can ever get at any one time… anything else is just tabloid journalism".

Commercial sites and sponsorship

  1. I am not sponsored or supported by any organisation or third party whatever.  That applies to my archery as well as to the site itself.

  2. If I ever accept support from a third party, commercial or otherwise, I will say so clearly.

  3. I will never criticise any manufacturer or distributor in general terms, but if I prefer one product to another, or have personal experience of bad workmanship, poor design etc, I will name names.

  4. A lot of source material on the Web is found on commercial sites.  In this case I may include a link to those sites.  This does not imply my support for the owner of the site or for their products, services etc.
